Mustapha, an elderly Moroccan who has lived in France for many years, decides that it is finally time for him to make the pilgrimage to Mecca, accompanied by his youngest son. But his son's habits couldn’t be further from the traditional ones Mustapha holds.

As they make the long trip—across no fewer than seven countries—the two clash as well as gain unexpected insights on one another and Islam in this offbeat road movie.
